6" diamiter chamber?
I was planning on using 6" diameter pvc pipe for my chamber on a propane combustion gun but I have not seen another gun with a large diameter chamber on this site. Is it okay to use a chamber this size? I was planning on making the chamber 6" by 24" long.
Thanks,

There are some 6" and bigger chambers around here, for a propane combustion you should be fine... is it pressure rated? Good luck with fittings, their $$$.

Seriously, the fittings will kill you. A t is $50 almost. Make sure it is pressure rated sa well. I have a 5' piece of 6" pipe, but the $200 in fittings it would take to make a pneumatics are holding me back. :p Dont forget a chamber fan

Breechload tennis balls from the cleanout? How do you plan on doing that? Do you mean like taking off the cleanout cap from the back and dropping the ball in and pushing it into the barrel a bit?

Well you should know that it's going to be hard as hell to find pressure rated 6 inch pipe. Almost all the stuff at Lowes over 2 inches is cellular core sewer pipe, which is bad to use in almost any situation.

It isnt hard to find pressure rated 6" at all. any doog irigation store will have it. There is tons of it around, it is what they use for sub mains in water lines. Hell, I have 5' of it right behind me

Lucky for you, I've never seen anybody that sells it around here, and that's when I checked around for a couple days for a physics project, although I was looking for 2.5 in. Maybe i'll just take a little trip to Fresno to get some
lol around here we dont find that kind of pipe at stores, i got my stuff from my grandpa's back yard, he used to work for the township and he took home a bunch of their leftover pipe, i've got some 24" black stuff they use for drainage, but i dont think they make fittings for it
I have a 6x22 inch chamber. I dont use fitings on this one, i just took some 2inch wood board and made it fit in both ends (was realy hard to fit them, had to hammer them down), the end with the barrel i just made a whole in, and screwed the barel down there, everything is working PERFECT.
I'm using golf balls as ammo for this one, with starting fluid as gas. It shoots golf balls strait thru walls
I'm guessing it shoot about 400+ meters.

The 2 inch wooden boards is schrewed together with 16 schrews, AND glued, so i think its stronger than PVC or ABS fittings.
I'l try to take som pictures of it, its not so beautiful yet, but i'm gonna modify it. I'm thinkig of adding propane injection on it, but not sure if i take the risk
