This is my version of the airsoft grenade. When the shcroter valve is filled, the air slowly bleeds into the larger chamber half filled with airsoft bb's/paintball/whatever. After all the air bleeds into the larger chamber, the burst disk ruptures, sending bb's/paintballs/whatever flying everywhere.

Dude, this is a older post rewritten. The oridgenaul was on a "Paint RPG". If it wasn't for the fact it wold take me to long to find it, i would link you to see it, if i remember correctly, he got it to work! Hopefully, one of the other fine members will know who posted it and link it up for you to see. The simularitys between your post and his are uncanny.

it seems like it would work except i would think with a slow presur bleed the burst disk like you described it would pop a small hole releasing pressur slow instead of a quick explosive rupture

its not going to shoot very far. and its a schrader valve, not a shcroter valve. and why dont you just use a normal burst disc instead of having it slowly come out?

I predict it MIGHT shoot them over 5 feet, but I really doubt it.

personally i would have a spring push a 12 gram co2 cartridge onto a hollow needle. On impact, it would somehow release the co2 and blast the contents of the grenade out. How you would do it all, i am unsure of

Sorry to kick up an old post, but a good burst disk like think would be to use a cork to fit the BB case thing with a short string tied to it to keep it from flying away. This would allow a quick, controlled release of the BBs, unlike the burst disk idea, and you could still use the bleeding air design which I particularly like.

Did your spring grenade thing work any good?
