Looks nice, but PLEASE, Use periods and complete sentences. It will make your posts easier to read and much more enjoyable.

hi wrote:i actually think that pvc glue works better on abs then abs glue works on abs.
"i" dont think so.
it is made specifically for abs, it is obviously better for abs!
do some research, buddy!
gatlinggun, there's a thing called a period, it goes between sentences and makes things legible.
and why did you post two topics on the same gun?

i do think so, i have had abs glue fail twice, then i read that pvc glue works on abs and i have never had it fail. I know that there are at least two types of abs glue, i guess the one i use doesnt work that well.

I used abs glue is not meant for any form of pressure, it is only ment to seal and hold the pipe together.
PVC glue is meant to hold pipe together under pressure. It might even work on non-pvc pipe.

Theres a Chemical Reaction between ABS cement and ABS pipe and PVC cement and PVC pipe when they are "joining". That chemical reaction wont happen effectively or it just won't happen at all.frankrede wrote:I used abs glue is not meant for any form of pressure, it is only ment to seal and hold the pipe together.

wtf abs works fine it has no defects with me there are many diffeerent colors of abs whats the difference
PVC cement somewhat dissolves the pipe and basically fuses the two peices together together (the cement has all sorts of "wonderful" solvents which partly dissolve the pvc pipe, as well as abs and most platics) . ABS glue basically holds the two pieces together and seals them, there is really no "physical" bonding between the two pieces.

abs glue SEALS the gap between the two parent materials.
pvc cement primer is a solvent which liquifys the polymers that make up the parent material (the two pipes).
the cement itself contains polymers which help unify the two pipes. this type of 'weld' is very strong because it basically makes two pieces of pipe become one.
have a read of this ..
