This is my first propane injected potato gun and bigest combustion I have ever made. I got the 6" abs (cellular core) at work, as soon as i saw it i snatched up all of the cutoffs i could find and also two 6" couplings. I have never seen 6" pipe at any hardware store so thats why i couldn't wait to make a huge gun out of it. The 6" part is double layered with another pice cut lenght wise down the side. The igniton is a spark strip with seven sparks powered by a cheap stun gun. the barrel in the picture is a 10' bolt action golf ball barrel (sdr21) that i bought off the internet. I also have 2",2.5",3",and 4" barrels for it. I think that i might be breaking the sound barrier with golf balls because it makes a snap noise and i cant even see them come out. When i first shot it i remote fired it from behind a pice of 1" plywood. I have fired almost 50 shots out of it so far and am not noticing any sings of wear or stress marks. I wish i have switched to propane sooner because i still haven't had to change the propane tank since i made it. The only thing I need is a fan to put on it so i don't have to air it out with the air compressor all the time[/img]

I would suggest that following discussion regard to the cannon itself, and its constructor, rather then the old ass "cellular core" b*tching routine. Plink off your ill reputation in some other thread specifically devised for the discussion of such.

Noice launcher. Classic in that what it lacks aesthetically it makes up in power. In future builds I would suggest butting fittings, and using fittings/ pipe of the same material through-out the build. Looks like a fun cannon to shoot with.

As I said before, I really like this cannon. I love huge cannons, and this is no exception! Most big launchers come out scratched, unclean, and messy; this one is certainly an exception to the rule! I am sure with such a large chamber, combined with the use of propane as a fuel, this cannon generates some serious power!

I love it, it is really an awesome looking cannon. As rmich said, big cannons tend to not be aesthetically pleasing for what ever reason. But from looking at it i can tell you put a lot of work into it, and it really shows. Very nice job.

Cool cannon, reminds me of something I would build.
I see abs on pvc, is it only threads or did you solvent them, together?

That is awesome! It reminds me a lot of my friends cannon, (6" as well, but not as long at 15"). Suggestion: SHOOT TOY AMBULANCES. May sound retarded, but trust me, it's fun! :P
