Inlet Placement Testing On Clouds.
i am thinking of making one of these but since i don't have a air compressor i will be pumping it up which will stop the problem of jamming when you stoping. i will be having these

as ammo since i have around 200 already do you guys think they are to big? i will have a 1/2" barrel.
I can see why your design would help performance initially. However, after a second or two of firing, why would this design help? It seems to me that performance would drop off greatly, because the chamber would no longer be pressurized and it would just function as a regular cloud...

yes, it would. but you gave me an idea for a new MMG........... This will be cool........ Oh and by the way, its proboably chepaer to order 1/2 inch steel balls off MCmaster. you can get 500 for like 10 bucks......... but dont come complaining to me when you dump 1000 bucks on ammo........

In your average BBMG, you're feeding air from a blowgun into a chamber that has a 0.177" opening, meaning you typically never get more than 30% of the compressor pressure pushing the BBs.
The idea here is that the hose from the compressor is ideally at least 0.177" in diameter, meaning you start out with the maximum pressure in the chamber, and since you're feeding air at the same rate that you're losing it (well faster actually, as the BBs in the barrel are impeding the flow out) the pressure in the chamber will only drop as the compressor's tank empties.
