Hi, im interested in possibly making a bb/airsoft sniper and wondering what you people use for barrels, moreover do you get barrels that fit perfectly th round you shoot or just loosely guide the round? Any help is appreciated.

Fibreglass tent poles inside a 15mm copper tube.

Giving a bore of 4mm which I'm going to be firing 3mm steel ball bearings from as soon as I get my mitts on some.

Have a look in the pneumatics showcase for my post on it.

alot of people use brake line.

i made one once and used an alluminum arrow shaft from easton. it worked great. it fit airsoft bbs very well. you can get an arrow at, well gee, an archery shop. it works well and its very nicely in an 1/4'' nipple.

I recently made a barrel out of this stufff I found at Home Depot, just randomly stuck an Airsoft and it fit nicely. It's labeled Merflex PEX OT 1/4", it's gray and for a 3 foot segment for a whole $1.09 pretty cheap.

If you are looking for something quick and ghetto, those pencils that have individual graphite "darts" in them (ok, they just *look* like darts) fit steel bbs very well.

I dont know if they make them anymore, as the design sucked badly.
Normally when the graphite wore off a dart you would just pull it out and stick it in the back, pushing a new one to the front. If you lost one though, the pencil was useless. well, at least useless for writing:)
