The MV 870 BBMG
Thanks, very enthusiastic there. I've actually been planning on, since he made that comment, doing tests on the different shapes of blocks. I could chrony and timed rof test them, too. I hate making the blocks, though. So maybe noname could make those.

GREAT JOB boomer!
The name makes me think of my favorite shotgun, hehe, nice.
I'm particularly impressed with the integration of the AR magazine. Have you thought about lengthening the magazine?
My only critique? The black paint wasn't matte

Hey Boomer, i think that gun is killer, it makes mine loook like a piece of crap, and i think you have a chance in the competition too, one thing i dont like is the trianlge sight, i think a scope would make it so much better. And yeah no doubt about it, i love the inline serious. Im still fidling around with my inline vortex gun, so yeah. i wish mine could do what yours can do too a can. good luck in the competition. 8)
Rmich, I've done that test, it was a previous vortex strafer, and I switched in different blocks with full or half or less than half or about 3/4 and different materials and everything. I have no recorded results, but going by how fast the gun emptied, counting jams. A half hole seems to work the best, with the least feeds errors (no jams; 500 BBs). A less-than-half hole seemed to have the highest ROF, but jammed too much to use well.
Boomer, I'd be happy to make half hole blocks for your testing, but there's no way I'm going to make them out of PVC rod.

haha okay. Might I ask why though? It's not like it's that much different, although it is expensive, and I know you get acrylic for cheap or whatever. I would still like to see PVC rod. Maybe I'll buy and ship you some rod to make them with, if cost is your concern.

Hahaha, okay, Whatever you fell like doing then, Just make them with acrylic or something. I can chrony them if you can't, but would you make the gun too?

you need to paint it brown on the clear pvc so it looks more like an AK-47
. I really like this bbmg. I think you've inspired me to make one after i finish my cannon.

ahhhh i dont think it's suposed to look like an AK-47... more of a M4 or M16 or something like that.pyromaniac wrote:you need to paint it brown on the clear pvc so it looks more like an AK-47

Yeah, it was made to look like an M16, M4A1, or M15A4 assault rifles, I hate AK47's, so that was almost an insult. That's alright, though I guess I haven't really got off my ass to do any kind of sight rail, I instead, bought an airbrush kit . I'll get on it soon, I kind of dropped the ball. and noname, that sounds excellent. I'll get chrony readings and timed testing.

No, actually. I have a huge CO2 tank that I can wear on my back, I'll see if Sgort will take some pictures of it and post them here, as it is at his shop (I live 8 minutes from him). It should last a looooonnng time with this thing, too. A little contractor type compressor only turns on its pump I think about every 30 seconds of shooting or so. It's actually pretty portable, if you go to neospud.com, he's got the main idea for this gun, and the CO2 backpack that I had been planning before I ever saw his.
