yea, very clean, lol, i didnt do to bad, clear glue and primer works good, and i scrubbed all the pvc down real good, so no lettering or dirt
its alright you just need new adaptors much stronger they dont look presure raited great gun other wise very clean but give it a paint and upgrade to a sprinkler valve. the ball valve is a great start and great way to have fun for the first time
on a cannon like that i think that a sprinkler valve would accually hurt the proformance.

well, today i shot it off twice, only had 2 spuds and no money to buy more, lol. Got about 200 yds or a little less at 60psi, i guess that not too bad but not what i expected. A small leak, but very slow leak.
yea, in your mind 200 yards if far, but when you shoot a cannon you want more. we all would like a little more.

Of course it will be not dangerous till that one time that it fails and takes your arm with it.

Not true. Duct tape won't stop pvc shrapnel, nor mesh, or denim, despite what anyone says.hi wrote:there was one, but only for duct tape. with the use of mesh it will stop it.
@ Matt: I would replace the DWV fittings whether or not you're using it as a "low pressure gun" or not. I fear for your saftey as well as anyone else who might happen to be in the vicinity when you fire it.
For your sake and ours, replace the fittings, it will cost you a few bucks and 10-20 minutes out of your life, but compare it to pricey hospital bills for you and possibly other people.
Oh, and use the

The mesh would most probably have a negative effect on safety. The cannon being held close to the person shooting and with a pipe/fitting rupture the mesh would be moving at a high velocity and cause some serious lacerations,NOT good.
The spuddy is yours to shoot but this site is a community, our community and we don't want a negative view or social status on Spudguns from people being injured from them or possible death. For safety of mind I would swap out the fittings for pressure rated ones. You would only loose about 700ML of chamber volume which isn't a whole lot.The cannon could regularly be taken to 100psi without failure or the problem of failure being on your mind.
200yards-180meters?Is a great distance for a first spuddy, don't swap the ball valve out for a sprinkler as a sprinkler valve in 1" size has the flow of a juice box straw compared to the flow of that ball valve.

we all know it is dangerous but what are you going to do, find out where he lives and cut the fittings off his gun? i think you've said all you can and he'll do what he wants to.
