As i said and will always say...For airsoft BB's (6mm), airsoft barrels are not the best. The best you will find is a 6.03 prometheus barrel. It's teflon. It will cost you 50 buck for the barrel. Now if you consider on buying an airsoft barrel that will rock the sh*t out of your friends a$$, buy 8mm OD copper.
has a 6.02 mm ID, that what i used in the piston rifle i had, it's solid, but only use great grade BB's. like exel® or king® BB's. use 0.25 grams BB's, make a "hop up" system.
You should do it great with that.
Copper as a barrel....this is the most important.

Using even a 60 cm precision barrel wont offer the same velocity and the same accuracy as a 1 meter long copper barrel.

The longer barrel will harness more of that energy from the compressed air making the BB go faster.

This will give me more functionality, as well as a cooler and more comfortable design. I plan on incorperating a folding stock and a bipod as show above..

Mostly the HK MG36 I'll bet ;)

Shouldn't you make a working prototype first before even beginning to worry about the aesthetics?

always make a prototype...at least for the parts that need further adjustments.

I have a working prototype.. its a wood vortex block, 2" pvc and a peice of metal clamped down on both sides.. works good but there is no plunger... I am gonna include a plunger in the design though...

and making the asthetics is easy so im not worried..

keep in mind that the air tube has to be housed inside the gun. for the trigger to work, as well as other things that are designed inside the "asthetics" of the gun. So asthetics are highly important to get right..

well guys, I finished the front half of the gun, I have a wood vortex block right now but I think im gonna go aluminum or arcrylic.. the bipod works great.. a few changes though.. instead of doing the 6 square holes.. I did 6 rounded square holes.. I also added a rail to one side.. gonna find another rail online to buy for the other side.. and I have to find the right color tan spray paint to paint it..
