Ok i have built a standard combustion cannon and i am working on a pneumatic cannon at the moment, but could someone tell me how to build a soda bottle hybrid, do you just inject propane and them pump air into it?

And as for the burst disk what do you use?

do not, i will repeat that, do not use a soda bottle for a hybrid. its dangerous enough to use it as a pneumatic.

it will simpley explode in your face.

hybrids build up 300+ psi, way more than any soda bottle will ever take.

take my advise and wait a little before you build a hybrid. i built over 10 cannons before i built a hybrid. they really are dngerous.

you idea is correct, you add more propane than you would in a combustion and to make up for the lack of oxygen, you add air. burst disks are made of anything really. i use aluminum foil, cut up soda bottles, any thing that will hold 30 psi or so.

Btw, how much does aluminum hold, I'm retarded...
Also, hi is right wait before you build a hybrid, or just don't build one at all.
VH was awesome!!

it depends on how thick the aluminum is.

thats like saying how long can you hold your breath. well that really depends on how much air you take in.

One can run a 1.1x mix in a hybrid, which would produce scarcely more pressure than a normal combustion.

Following this line of reasoning, if normal combustions using a soda bottle as a chamber are safe, there is a hybrid mix which is also safe to use them.

However, the question becomes weather or not the added hassle and the decreased safety margins are worth a bit of extra muzzle energy.
