I've begin construction on this already, the firing mechanism is almost done, just need some brass tubing for the barrel and the bolt. The main trigger will be a regular old blowgun connected to a 2" tank at 100 psi with restrictor tubing in between. I think most of you will be able to tell how this works from the diagram. If you can't, I'll elaborate. It may also be full auto if the spring+air is enough to push the bolt back while air is being let it.

I've finished the hopper, barrel, feed system, stock, and I am working on the air tanks and trigger currently.

If the air reach your ammo at a point when its in the barrel you wil shoot much much harder and faster.

i looks to me as though the screws would get knoked out from the piston hitting it.

anyway, this is an old topic so it probably doesnt matter now.

putting where the air goes in would really help in understanding how it works. how does it work?

I fink that the air pushes the bolt forward(very hard!!!) so the ammo wil be shooted in the far away, but if you can make a simple good working valve you wond need a bolt just air  .

seems as if it would double shoot 2 bbs alot thats why i would put a small o-ring on both sides of the pipe holding the bb in place but yet loose enough to shoot easily :!:
