I was talking about ignition systems. If a dog is ignited somewhere in the process it's still a successful ignition, right?

(edit: I was being sarcastic :P )

I think you might have trouble getting a good arc at long distances. If I ever have a microwave to spare you can bet I'm going to try it anyway, though.

Well yes, but I mean for cannons, so unless you have a dog in the combustion chamber of your cannon, this isn't pertinent to the discussion. If you do have a dog in the chamber of your cannon, I think you have bigger problems to work out...

My statement was more of a joke than an actual suggestion. If you seriously want to try the microwave idea, you're taking your life into your own hands and I assume no responsibility for the consequenses of your actions.

I don't see how this is "Best wireless ignition system ever".

Nothing new.

Like TurboSuper posted, you can use an old cordless phone for the RC system like described here.

Or, a remote FOB, like a car uses, like this one with a 300' range for $19.

Or, an RC setup, even the one from a cheap RC car.

Which in turn can control a photoflash circuit or a stun gun or a flyback or an auto coil or ...
